Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said on Sunday that Israel has evacuated over a million Palestinians from the north to the south and will move them westward before the Rafah operation

 

According to what was reported by the public radio affiliated with the official broadcasting authority, "Now we have to evacuate them to the west and other areas before the Rafah operation."

 

Recently, regional and international warnings have escalated regarding Israeli airstrikes on Rafah, with preparations for a ground invasion, posing a danger to hundreds of thousands of displaced people who sought refuge there as their last sanctuary in the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip.

 

In an interview with NBC News, US President Joe Biden highlighted deep American concerns about civilian casualties in Gaza, affirming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu harms Israel and its interests more than he benefits them, describing the planned Israeli army operation in Rafah, southern Gaza, as a "red line."

 

Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called on Israel to prepare a plan to evacuate civilians from the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip before any military operations there.
